| POP authentication Example setup using Outlook Express.
Note: VFEmail does NOT recommend Outlook or Outlook express due to it's poor security settings in it's default configuration. Though we provide this page because we recognize the size of the installed user-base. This example can be used for Outlook Express and Outlook 97-2000. |

| On the 'Advanced' tab, make sure you are not using SSL for incoming OR outgoing mail. | |||||||
| Outlook should now be ready to send and receive mail.
Please note the following: 1. There is a 25MB email size limit at vfemail.net 2. You MUST check your mail (click send/receive) before trying to send. The server needs to acknowledge you before it will allow you to send an email. You are remembered for an hour. Best practice is to click 'Send/Receive' when you first start Outlook, or set Outlook to check for new mail on startup. Any questions can be sent to helpdesk@vfemail.net |
