POP and SMTP settings?

I need help. I cant seem to get the settings right :'( i use my email alot and my mum has stole the new bt email account and i just want one sorted before we switch >:]

so help anyone

Hi Rick,

Just a curious..what are your smtp server names?
What I know from previous was
1) alpha.vfemail.net
2) dell.vfemail.net

Are those still live or already replaced with new servers?
What are those server names?

Hi,

You should be using:
mail.vfemail.net

as the SMTP server.

I started getting this error about port settings on incoming mail server. What are they suppose to be.. Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

The ports are:
SMTP: 25, 587 (Preferred), 465(SSL)
POP: 110, 112 (if AV issues), 995 (SSL)
IMAP: 143, 993 (SSL)
